Mexican football pundit Sergio Dipp has urged Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Raul Jimenez to move on in the summer after the Europa League exit.

Jimenez has been starring for Wolves ever since joining from Benfica in summer 2018, establishing himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League.

After a memorable first year at Molineux, where he gobbled 17 goals and eight assists, the 29-year-old forward carried his predatory instincts into 2019/20.

Indeed, 27 goals and ten assists in 55 outings last season have upheld Wolves’ readiness to fork out €38million to secure his signature permanently.

However, after finishing seventh in the Premier League, Wolves failed to overcome Sevilla in the revamped UEFA Europa League quarter-finals.

Jimenez missed from the spot early in the game, with Lucas Ocampos’ late header propelling the Andalusian side into the final four.

As a consequence, the ‘Wanderers’ will miss out on European football next season.

Sergio Dipp has now told his Mexican compatriot to ditch Nuno Espirito Santo’s team for a high-profile club.

“Leave Wolverhampton now,” Dipp wrote for ESPN.

“The best thing Raul Jimenez can do is a change of scene. The English League has been very good for him, but the team has been too small for him.

“He should have a thirst for revenge and a desire to demonstrate at the highest level because in May he will turn 30 and naturally the window will be closing.

“So he has to take advantage of the fact that he is coming off the best season of his career.”

Jimenez has a host of admirers in the Premier League and outside of England, including Liverpool, Manchester United, and Juventus.
