An early incident at the Emirates Stadium caused a lengthy delay after the Mexican striker crashed into the Brazilian defender.
Raul Jimenez was stretchered off the pitch and rushed on to the hospital with a head injury after a sickening clash of heads with David Luiz.
The Wolves striker attempted to challenge for the ball against the Arsenal center-back after a corner from Willian, and it was then the two suffered a heavy collision.
Jimenez appeared to be knocked unconscious he needed oxygen while being taken off the field on a stretcher.
Luiz, despite a bloody face, was responsive in the moments after the blow as he managed to remain in action. He did, however, later showed signs of damage as he started bleeding late in the first half.
A lengthy delay was caused as both the players received medical treatment after a collision that was well audible in the absence of fans.
