Ahead of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, Jack Wilshere has predicted how the final top six standings will look.
Jack Wilshere has tipped Manchester City to win the Premier League again and fears the title race will be over before it’s started if Harry Kane joins the club.
The midfielder expects Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool to complete the top four. He also thinks Arsenal will improve on last season’s eighth-place finish but only by three spots in fifth. Leicester City, meanwhile, will round-off the top-six in the final league standings.
“Manchester City will win it,” Wilshere told talkSPORT. “I would prefer Man United to win it, but I think they come second. Chelsea third, Liverpool fourth, Arsenal fifth, and Leicester sixth.
“I played against Man City so many times and it’s awful, it’s horrible. You can’t get the ball off them. Pep just gets them playing these little passes. If they get Harry Kane as well, it’s over before we even start.”
