The Citizens are preparing their squad to defend three titles next season.
Jack Grealish has reacted to a proposed Manchester City lineup for the new season.
The England international enjoyed brilliant form as City claimed a historic treble last season. After beating Arsenal in a close title race, the Citizens defeated Manchester United and Inter in the finals of the FA Cup and Champions League, respectively.
Throughout the campaign, Pep Guardiola had a well-equipped squad at his disposal, with a host of quality backup options in almost every position.
But City are, nonetheless, in the market for more squad reinforcements this summer. Arsenal-linked Declan Rice has emerged as an option for the Citizens, while Guardiola is reportedly pushing to add a new centre-back to his squad.
On Saturday, Grealish liked a post on Twitter that showed City’s possible lineup for the next season.
Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva are not in the lineup due to their expected moves away from the club. However, the user has included Rice, Matteo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol in the proposed lineup.
The possible departure of Kyle Walker could indeed tempt Guardiola to use a three-man backline featuring John Stones and Ruben Dias. On the other hand, Kovacic is set to continue his tactical role at Chelsea but alongside Rice, Kevin De Bruyne, and Rodri.
