After a treble-winning season at Bayern Munich, Ivan Perisic decided to return to Inter Milan to try his luck under Antonio Conte.

Ever since Ivan Perisic gave us that World Cup unforgettable performance in Russia, we all knew he had the potential to succeed at Inter Milan. However, Antonio Conte decided to accept a loan bid for him at Bayern Munich. As a result, Perisic responded by becoming one of the most important subs at the German giants.

The club that hosted him for a full season ended up winning the treble with Perisic as an important part of the squad. Now that his loan is over, the player comes back with his head held high. Needless to say, Antonio Conte will have more consideration of his talents for this new season.

Inter really needs an offensive midfielder with his characteristics if they want to compete for trophies. Last season’s Europa League final and Serie A’s second-place reveal the Nerazzurri are on the right path. Perisic can add that extra level of quality they’ve been looking for.

He vows to succeed at Inter Milan.

Upon arrival as a new player, Ivan Perisic has big plans for his inter Milan future. The Croatian star won’t take any more sub talk this season and he will fight to be one of the team’s leaders. He already is one of the veterans inside the club and he is after Antonio Conte’s trust once and for all.

“I had an incredible year, as I won three trophies with a great team,” Perisic revealed to Inter TV.

“It wasn’t easy at the start, as I had a few problems with the first coach, then damaged my ankle in February, but despite it all, we emerged from a tough situation and won everything.

“That was a positive year, now I am back and I’m happy. I still have two years on my contract with Inter and hope we can do great things together. I am ready.

“I know the coach likes to work hard. We’re on the right track, I saw a lot of hunger in the locker room and everyone is fired up. On a personal note, I expect a positive year, and I watched almost all the games that my friends played last season. I was Inter’s Number One Fan, it’s a pity they came so close and didn’t win all the competitions.”
