Another Tottenham player believes that Jose Mourinho is the solution to all the problems at the north London club.

Many have talked about Jose Mourinho’s influence on the Tottenham squad and what he brings to the club. Yet another Spurs player, Moussa Sissoko believes that the Portuguese tactician will lead the north London club to Premier League triumph.

Evidently, Tottenham is in second place in the English top-tier after playing eight matches this new season. Now, if they win their upcoming tussle against Manchester City, they could move up to the top of the table this weekend.

Moreover, a win against the renowned Pep Guardiola will mean that Tottenham could potentially lift the title. And Sissoko gives all the credit to Mourinho who has evolved his group of stars.

“It’s good to have a manager who knows how to win,” Sissoko told the Mirror. “It’s as simple as that.

“Every club wants to win trophies, to win every week. Of course, everyone would like to have a team playing great football, creating a lot of chances, and giving the opponents no occasion to score.

“But the main thing is to win games. He knows how to do it and he’s done it many times. But he also knows how to play, to give a difficult time to the opponent.

“Having a mix of both is perfect. So let’s use it.”

In addition, Mourinho completed a one-year stay at Tottenham on Friday, after Mauricio Pochettino’s departure last year. Sissoko, though, talked about how the Portuguese boss instilled hope in all the players following their loss in the Champions League final.

“Before Jose came, we were struggling a little bit,” Sissoko said. “I would say that the final impacted us because to lose that final was a big drama for us. We came back with a lot of motivation to do well. But something was missing.

“Jose came and he came with a lot of energy, a lot of positive things and he came with a new philosophy and that helped us to come out again.”
