After helping the club win the long-awaited domestic title, Inter Milan midfielder has signed a fresh long-term contract.
Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella has agreed to new terms at San Siro and will be helping out the squad on a long-term basis.
The Italy international has put pen to paper and will be staying with Nerazzurri until 2026. The 24-year-old looks to extend his relationship with his boyhood club with this incredible step in his football career.
Barella expressed his happiness on Inter’s official website saying: “I’m delighted to have extended my contract so I can keep fighting for the Inter cause. All the best to Nerazzurri fans and Forza Inter!”
The impressive midfielder joined the Serie A champions from his hometown Cagliari in the summer of 2019.
The Italian has made 102 appearances for the club across all competitions while scoring eight goals. Barella also was one of the stars who aided the club to lift the long-awaited Scudetto last season.
Moreover, Nicolo was also crowned as the Serie A midfielder of the year 2020-21, which was no surprise considering his sheer resilience on the field.
And of course, he also helped his national team lift the European Championship during the summer this year. Barella has racked 33 caps for Italy along with seven goals to his name.
