Antonio Conte had put question marks over his long-term stay with Inter Milan but has decided to stay put with the Italian giants.

Inter Milan have made great strides under Antonio Conte. The Nerazzurri were a point off Juventus in the Serie A title race. To add to their woes, the Italian giants were beaten in the Europa League final.

Conte was understandably distraught after losing out to Sevilla. However, his claims of figuring out his future caught observer off-guard.

The situation was reaching a boiling point with Max Allegri edging towards a move. It all seems to have been resolved after both parties achieved a resolution.

Conte met club representatives and resolved his issues with them. They have arrived at a working protocol to continue their existing relationship forward.

“The Club and Antonio Conte had a constructive meeting today focused on continuity and strategy, in which the two parties laid the foundations to continue working together on the Club’s project,” the club’s statement read on their official website.

The former Chelsea and Juventus manager has courted controversy over his relationship with the Inter hierarchy.

Conte has continuously questioned the club’s ambitions and the support he has received. Moreover, despite significant investment in the club, the Italian has whined about his squad strength.

This would be the third falling out incident of Conte’s career. He did not leave Juventus and Chelsea on good terms and is following a similar trajectory with Inter.
