A brilliant attacking performance from the Bavarians left no chance for Inter to fight back.

Bayern Munich defeated Inter 2-0 in their Champions League clash on Wednesday. The Bundesliga champions made a solid first impression in the ‘Group of Death’.

Sane put up a show at San Siro!

The game started with great pace as Bayern pushed for an early breakthrough.

The hosts managed to keep their defensive integrity early on. But a brilliant long pass from Joshua Kimmich ended their resistance in the 25th minute.

Leroy Sane received the ball behind Inter’s backline and dribbled past Andre Onana. The German star then nodded the ball home to open the scoring for the Bavarians.

Bayern couldn’t double their lead in the first period while Inter looked improved at the start of the second half.

Following a few half-chances from Inter, Bayern finally sealed their victory with another goal.

A precise one-two between Sane and Sadio Mane completed Bayern’s fantastic team effort inside Inter’s box.

Sane then hit a low shot to the far corner which was turned into an own goal by Danilo D’Ambrosio who tried to clear it off the line.

Bayern missed a host of other chances after the second goal to settle for the 2-0 win at San Siro.
