It would take a minimum of 20 days for Lorenzo Insigne to gain full fitness and return to action for Napoli, informs Vincenzo Pisacane.

Napoli ran riot in their most recent Serie A outing as they dismantled Genoa 6-0, but the excitement of their victory was dampened by injury to Lorenzo Insigne.

Insigne could last for only 23 minutes on the pitch at San Paolo before he picked up a thigh injury and was replaced by Eljif Elmas.

Gennaro Gattuso failed to provide much details regarding his player’s injury after the full-time whistle but informed that he felt a pull in one of his flexor muscles.

There has been no confirmation yet by the club on the extent of the damage done on the forward, but his agent insists Insigne is set to miss Napoli’s trip to Juventus.

“We still have no news on Lorenzo, you need at least 48 hours for that. The instrumental tests will be carried out tomorrow,” Pisacane told Radio Punto Nuovo.

“If there is no injury, about 20 days and he can return to the pitch.

“What’s worst for him is to miss Juventus and the national team, which also happened last year. He’s very sad, he’s angry because he didn’t want to miss any games, especially this one.”
