The Nigeria international has been ruthless in front of goal lately, having found the back of the net nine times in his last ten outings.
Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been in sensational goalscoring form lately but is hoping his “best is yet to come”.
Iheanacho was key to Leicester booking their place in the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 39 years as he bagged a brace to help his side overcome Manchester United 3-1 on Sunday.
The striker took his FA Cup tally to 13 goals in 18 games – the best goal record by any player in the competition since his debut in January 2016.
The 24-year-old now has seven goals in his last four games across all competitions and has 17 goal contributions from 28 games in total this season.
“I just need to focus and keep working hard every day,” he told LCFC TV. “Hopefully, they [goals] will keep coming.
“As a striker, that’s what you need, so hopefully I’ll keep going and hopefully we’ll get to the next round.
“Hopefully the best is yet to come. I just need to keep working hard every day in training and hopefully, everything will fall into place.”
