After knowing the extent of Eden Hazard’s injury, we have a last-minute report on when the Real Madrid medical staff thinks he will return.
When Eden Hazard picked up the most recent injury at Real Madrid, we initially thought he injured his ankle again. However, Los Blancos’ most recent report revealed he picked up a muscular injury that will leave him out for at least 20 days.
But inside the club, the medical staff doesn’t think the Belgian star will be ready to return by then. In fact, inside sources to the club are confirming that Hazard might return until the start of 2021 because his muscular issue is more serious than initially reported.
According to Diario Sport, Hazard’s injury might take more than a month to recover completely due to its recovery process. This means that Hazard will miss some crucial matches that will all happen between now and the end of 2020.
Games Eden Hazard will miss.
Initially, it was expected that Eden Hazard would miss every single match from today until the holidays. This includes matches against Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, Eibar, Granada, and Elche in La Liga. Hazard will also miss the two UEFA Champions League matches against Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach.
There is a slight chance he might rush his return for the match against Granada on December 23. If that doesn’t work, he might also attempt his return on December 30 against Elche. However, the Real Madrid medical staff is not willing to force his return out of fear he could get injured again. The more likely scenario is that Hazard might be out of all competitions for the remainder of 2020.
