Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois tops to Iker Casillas’ list of the world’s top 5 goalkeepers.
The Spanish World Cup and Champions League winner, who spent a remarkable 16 years at Real Madrid, ranks Courtois above shot-stoppers from Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich as the best of all.

Casillas’ top five goalkeepers
1. Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid)
2. Ederson (Manchester City)
3. Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid)
4. Marc-Andre ter Stegen (FC Barcelona)
5. Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich)
Courtois helped Real Madrid win La Liga and the Champions League last season, while Ederson won the Premier League at Manchester City and Neuer led Bayern Munich to another Bundesliga crown.
Notable omissions from Casillas’ list of top 5 goalkeepers include Liverpool No.1 Alisson Becker and Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy, who won the UEFA Goalkeeper of the Season in 2021.
