The Rossoneri will have to make do without the presence of a talismanic figure in the team for the top-of-the-table clash on Wednesday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been ruled out of the Serie A encounter between AC Milan and Juventus.

Ibrahimovic still hasn’t recovered from the muscle strain he picked up in the league outing against Napoli back in November.

He got on the scoresheet twice in the 3-1 victory at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona as he brought his tally to an astonishing 10 goals in just six matches in the league this season.

The 39-year-old has since missed 10 fixtures across all competitions for his side, missing a few games such as the Europa League meeting with Lille and Serie A game against Lazio.

It was expected that he could get back to fitness in time for Wednesday’s match against Juventus but as it turns out, Ibrahimovic is set to miss another crucial fixture for Milan.

“I scolded Ibra for that video because then you bombarded me with messages to find out if he had recovered,” Stefano Pioli told reporters referencing a video the striker posted on social media hinting that he could return to action, as reported by Goal.

“He’s better, he’s working well, but he won’t be there tomorrow.”
