The Rossoneri risk losing a rich source of goals with the Swedish striker’s contract set to run out at the end of the season.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is open to committing his future to AC Milan if Paolo Maldini wants.
Age has barely had any ill-effect on Ibrahimovic’s efficiency in the final third of the pitch as the 39-year-old still finds the back of the net with remarkable regularity.
The striker is one of the frontrunners for the Serie A Golden Boot. 14 goals scored in as many matches means he has a better goal-to-game ratio than any of his competitors, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
Milan, however, need to act fast if they are to continue enjoying his services beyond this season as the former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain man is out of contract in the summer.
“I don’t know, let’s see. If Paolo [Maldini] wants, I am up for it [contract extension],” Ibrahimovic addressed his future, speaking in an interview with Che Tempo Che Fa on RAI, via Football Italia.
“The season is still long, there are many games left. We always play to win, even if they can play once a week.”
