There is a possibility Zlatan Ibrahimovic could feature for AC Milan against his former side Manchester United in the Europa League.
As per a report, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be back just in time to play a part against Manchester United in the return leg of the Europa League.
The big Swede missed the first leg at Old Trafford, with Simon Kjær scoring a last-gasp goal that saw both sides share the spoils.
In a report by Sky Sport Italia, it is claimed that Ibrahimovic showed positive signs during the latest medical tests at Casa Milan. All things going well, the 39-year-old could at least be fit enough to secure a spot on the bench against his former club on Thursday.
With the game to be played at San Siro still in the balance, the return of their influential striker could be a positive boost for Pioli and Milan.
Ibrahimovic suffered a tear in his adductor muscle during the 2-1 win over Roma back in February. So far this season, the Swede has struggled with injuries.
He has missed 13 games in Serie A due to injury and has had to come off early on many occasions due to his ‘declining’ fitness levels, as mentioned by Pioli
Despite being in and out of the squad, Ibrahimovic has been up there as one of the most important players for the Rossoneri this term. He returned to Italy in January 2020 and has helped Milan sit second in Serie A this term, scoring 14 goals in as many league games.
