Gerard Deulofeu expresses his admiration for AC Milan as he admits to entertaining several offers for his next destination.

A number of Watford players have been linked with an exit following their relegation after finishing 19th in the 2019/20 Premier League season, and one such player is Gerard Deulofeu.

Deulofeu, who produced a remarkable return of 12 goals and five assists across all competition last season, has reportedly already handed out a transfer request to the club.

Before joining Watford, the 26-year old spent a six-month loan spell at AC Milan, and it is reported that he now wants to make a return. Rumors also suggest that he has mandated his agents to probe the ground for the move.

In an interview with the ‘El Transistor’ program on Radio Onda Cero, Deulofeu recently validated the rumors.

“Milan are an option for the future. I was really happy, I spent six fantastic months there,” he said. “That’s where my daughter was born.

“There are other options in Spain and in the Premier League too, but the priority is to find an agreement to leave Watford.

Deulofeu ruptured his ACL in February. Speaking on his physical condition, he added: “I am much better, I have improved little by little.

“I want to come back soon but with caution, there is no rush even if I miss playing to go elsewhere.”
