Jordan Henderson can see himself continuing at Liverpool for up to seven more years due to being in sound physical condition.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has shaped himself as a model of consistency for those around him for the past few years.

The midfielder guided his side to Champions League, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Premier League successes – all while being a key cog in the team.

A horse-like hardworking nature and distinguished leadership abilities are two of the qualities that make him an indispensable presence in the middle of the park for the Reds.

The English international has a contract through to 2023 but he feels he could remain at Anfield for much longer.

“I’m just turned 30 and I still feel about 25 physically and I feel as good as I’ve ever felt. I want to try to play as long as possible,” Henderson said on the club’s official website.

“I want to try to play as long as possible. I still love the game and I want to play for England and Liverpool as long as I can.

“I’ve always lived my life the right way in terms of doing everything right, eat the right things, sleep right, and live my life the best way. So even in the next six or seven years, I should hopefully be able to perform at the highest level.”
