The French star hopes to claim his second World Cup title when the Blues take on Argentina on Sunday.

Brazil legend Ronaldinho has singled out Kylian Mbappe for praise ahead of France’s upcoming World Cup final against Argentina.

Mbappe has been fundamental to his side’s run to the final, scoring five goals so far in the tournament.

At 23 years old, the French striker is already on the verge of claiming his second World cup title. Ronaldinho says France’s form hasn’t taken him by surprise, but that doesn’t undermine Mbappe’s performances.

“France are too strong really, even if before the competition they were among the favourites, so it’s only a half surprise. I’m happy to see France in the final,” the former Barcelona star said.

“I love watching him [Mbappe] play. He does everything very well and he is still very young.

“He has all the qualities, the speed, the dribbling and, in front of goal, he has the composure.

“These are the type of players that we Brazilians love to see play. He seems like a strong personality too.”

Ronaldinho went on to hail Didier Deschamps, who has led France to back-to-back World Cup finals.

“I love Didier Deschamps, he is very good,” Ronaldinho added.

“He is a lord, who was a very good player and who knows football very well.

“I like the way France play under him. In Brazil, he has a very good image and we appreciate the way Les Bleus play.”
