Now that we know PSG no longer has Thomas Tuchel as the manager, it’s time to talk about Neymar and Kylian Mbappe’s future at the club.
With Thomas Tuchel’s untimely sacking at PSG, we need to talk about Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The German manager was one of the biggest advocates to keep both players for many more years at the club. Without him around, there is quite a bit of concern about what they might decide. Mauricio Pochettino’s possible arrival is a blessing for a club that has no identity on the pitch.
The Argentine manager has clear ideas of the style he wants his squads to play and PSG urgently needs someone like that. However, keeping Neymar and Mbappe should be one of Mauricio’s most important tasks at hand when he arrives. As far as we know, Tuchel’s departure is making things much easier for Kylian Mbappe to leave in the summer transfer window. Real Madrid is already pushing hard to convince him and the latest development cold speed things up even further.
Neymar is also in limbo at PSG.
The other major concern is Neymar, who repeatedly said he is finally happy at PSG but Barcelona is going through an election process. Depending on which president comes to the Catalan club, Neymar will make a decision about his future. Even though both stars are currently in contention for all the titles, their future is also of major importance.
As far as we know, Mauricio Pochettino obviously wants to keep both players but he needs to sit down and tell them all about his new project for PSG. Keep in mind that the Argentine manager loves the club due to his past as a player. This is a virtue that few managers can have with a club like PSG and Pochettino finds himself in a good place for this. Neymar and Mbappe respond well to a good connection as they might do it with Pochettino’s arrival.
