It was a nailbiting match indeed as title contenders Borussia Dortmund edged past Hoffenheim. Consequently, the visitors managed to grab a late goal in the second half to get the three points.

On the other hand, RB Leipzig crushed Augsburg 2-0 to stabilize on top of the German League. Evidently, both the clubs have played four matches each.

Whereas, with this one goal victory, Dortmund stays on the second rank in the table with nine points.

Just on the brink of halftime, Angelino guided a perfect cross from Daniel Olmo with his head. Furthermore, the second goal for Leipzig came from a Yussuf Poulsen left-foot volley in the 66th minute.

A late escape.

Dortmund could not find their spark in the first half at PreZero Arena. Subsequently, Marco Reus and Erling Haaland did not start the game for the Ruhr Valley club.

Although, Giovanni Reyna once again managed to display his talent on the away turf. Oliver Baumann kept Hoffenheim in the game for the first half with a goal-line clearance from Giovanni Reyna’s attempt.

Moreover, Thomas Meunier’s header hit the frame of the goal only to go away as a goal kick to Hoffenheim.

The ambiance of the game changed, however, as Reus and Haaland put their feet on the ground in the 64th minute. As a result, Dortmund’s attack came to life.

Evidently, a toxic combination of Haaland and Reus helped Dortmund snatch the winning goal in the 76th minute.
