Theo Hernandez is more than satisfied with his first season at AC Milan and he now aims to further improve in his second one.

AC Milan showed a great lack of consistency in the first half of 2019/20 but managed to turn around their situation in the second half.

The Serie A side finished the season on a high note, remaining unbeaten in the last 12 matches in all competitions while clinching a sixth-place league finish.

The arrival of a certain Swedish striker in the January transfer window proved to be the catalyst of their rejuvenation, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not the sole reason for it.

Theo Hernandez, who arrived from Real Madrid last summer, was also central to their resurgence under Stefano Pioli, contributing seven goals and five assists in the cause.

“It was a good season, but the most important thing is to continue working. A new season begins and we hope to do better,” said Hernandez, as Football Italia reports.

“We are starting a new season with new challenges. We want to arrive as high as possible in the table and that’s what we will do.

“I’m happy with my teammates and happy to be here. I had a good season with several goals and assists and I think the new season will be equally positive.”
