The former Tottenham man Jamie O’Hara thinks that the Argentinian tactician could take Manchester United out of the trouble.

Mauricio Pochettino will be able to re-ignite Manchester United back to their old self according to Jamie O’Hara. And it is evidently clear how the Argentinian tactician lifted Tottenham during his spell at the club. Pochettino would do the same if he is handed the United squad.

However, despite all the efforts put by the South American boss, he was sacked out of north London in November 2019. Though, Pochettino managed to take Tottenham to the top-four in the Premier League along with the Champions League finals. Although regardless of his success, now he is without a club and looks for a potential takeover ahead.

A savior?

And as a matter of fact, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is struggling to put the United team together recently. Meaning, there could be an open spot for the head coach sooner or later at Old Trafford. Moreover, many have expressed their opinions regarding Pochettino’s suitability to awaken the Red Devils

Therefore, the former Spurs midfielder O’Hara believes that it would be a wise decision to replace Solskjaer.

“I think you have to give Pochettino massive respect for what he did at Spurs,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

“He didn’t win anything, and that’s probably the biggest regret that he has got, but where he took that football club with no budget, not signing any players, producing young players, playing an exciting style of football, made him world-class.

“He made Tottenham a guaranteed top-four side every season, and he got them to a Champions League final. On the night they were poor, but as a manager he is unbelievable.

“For me, he’s the fourth-best manager in England right now, and he hasn’t got a job. The other three? [Jurgen] Klopp, [Pep] Guardiola and [Jose] Mourinho.

“I would have Pochettino in most football clubs – apart from Klopp and Guardiola.

“How can you not say he’s unbelievable? Look what he did at Southampton and look at what he did at Spurs.

“Give him Man Utd’s squad and they would go to another dimension.”

Additionally, a recent 2-1 defeat against Istanbul Basaksehir puts Solskjaer under pressure to handle the club. Also, United’s inconsistent form continues to repeat as they stand 15th in the Premier League table.
