Jose Mourinho was full of praises after Harry Kane reached another impressive milestone for the club with his goal against West Brom.

Kane marked his return from injury for Spurs with a brilliant goal against West Brom on Sunday afternoon.

With the scores level in the second half, the England captain received a pass onside and scored a trademark angle-finish that left Sam Johnstone with no chance.

Son also scored in the match as Spurs went on to win by a 2-0 scoreline. However, the goal saw Kane reach a brilliant individual milestone in Tottenham colors.

The 27-year-old has now found the net 208 times in 317 appearances for the north London side, which makes him the joint-second highest scorer in the club’s history alongside Bobby Smith.

Speaking after the game, Mourinho hailed his side’s performance as a team and also added that Kane would break every record in Tottenham’s history.

The Spurs boss told BT Sport: “I loved the compromise of the players, the effort, the determination, the clear wish to show everyone how together they are and how much they were suffering with the bad results and how much they wanted the victory.

“That was the fundamental thing. In the first half, we were dominant and could have killed the game.”

“At half-time we had confidence, we were positive, I only spoke to them for one minute. We were going in the right direction.”

“Harry Kane is a special player in the history of the club. He will beat every possible record. We had very good individual performances today.”

“At the end of the season you have the truth, we will be where we belong, where we deserve to be.”
