The Belgium international has recovered from his injury just in time for the crucial match against his former team this week.

Eden Hazard is ready to feature in Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League clash with Chelsea, Zinedine Zidane has confirmed.

Hazard made his first appearance in over a month during Real Madrid’s goalless draw against Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday.

The 30-year-old, who was coming after recovering from a hip injury, was afforded little time on the pitch as he replaced Marco Asensio for the final 13 minutes.

Only 15 times in total has the Belgian forward played in this season so far, and he could make a 16th appearance on Tuesday in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

“I don’t see him with any doubts [in his mind], and the other day he was very good,” Zidane stated in his pre-match press conference, via Marca.

“The most important thing was that and now he’s ready to go. We’re happy, because he’s going to give us a lot.”

There were some concerns around the Real Madrid fanbase that Toni Kroos, who has missed the last three games, could be absent yet again but Zidane has relieved those fears saying the German midfielder is available for the Chelsea fixture.

Los Blancos, however, will have to make do without left-back Ferland Mendy.
