The Belgian is yet to find his feet at the Spanish capital but his national team manager expects him to rediscover his best form soon.

Eden Hazard has made just a single appearance across all competitions in 2020/21 for Real Madrid, with the blame for his severely limited game time falling on recurring fitness issues.

The talented winger witnessed a similar situation last season as he spent over 150 days on the sidelines and missed 26 games due to various injuries.

Much was expected from the former Chelsea man after his €100 million move to Santiago Bernabeu but he has vastly struggled to deliver on those expectations so far.

Only two goals across two seasons have been scored by the man who won the Chelsea Player of the Year award four times during his seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge.

“2020 for Hazard has been a year of massively bad luck,” his national team manager Roberto Martinez stated explaining Hazard’s poor form, speaking to Radio MARCA.

“I hope all the bad luck has passed and in 2021 he will bring lots of joy to the national team and to Real Madrid.”
