Jamie Vardy put his goalscoring talents in full display as he heavily aided to Manchester City’s humiliation in their own home.
Manchester City gained the lead within just four minutes into the match through a sublime first-time strike from Riyad Mahrez, but the night only worsened for them from that point onwards.
Half an hour later, Jamie Vardy equalized from the first of his side’s three spot-kicks, having earned it himself.
The last season’s top scorer then put his side on the front foot nine minutes after the half-time break, before once again earning and converting a penalty to double Leicester’s lead.
James Maddison also got on the scoresheet with an extraordinary strike as he cut inside from the left wing before sending a booming curler past into the back of the net.
Maddison was pulled back by Benjamin Mendy late in the game and substitute Youri Tielemans converted the consequential spot-kick to rub salt in the opposition’s wounds.
In between Leicester’s 4th and 5th goals, Nathan Ake saved some of Man City’s blushes as he pulled one back in the 84th minute.
Leicester City sit atop the table having collected the maximum nine points from each of their three league matches and scored 12 goals.
