Imagine traveling for 31 hours to see your team play, only for the match to be postponed? That’s what happened to these Spurs fans.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has invited two unfortunate fans a chance to watch the club play at home as his guest on Twitter.
The two supporters, Ken and Brandi Saxton, made a sleepless 31-hour trip from Dallas in America over to Lancashire to watch Spurs take on Burnley in a Premier League match on Sunday.
Dallas to London to Burnley (almost there) 31 hours – no sleep – fueled by coffee, cheese crackers and more coffee. Frigid temps and snow predicted for match day. The things we do when you love your club @SpursOfficial #coys #thfc #snowmatch pic.twitter.com/4784qLL4hy

On the morning of the game, however, the snow came down heavily at Turf Moor and forced the officials to postpone the fixture – less than an hour before kick-off.
Yup, just had a walk@around a few neighbourhoods in Burnley and it’s coming down good https://t.co/P0on1WQyGN

But at least they got to make the best of no football for the afternoon.

Things brighten up, though, when Kane saw the couple’s initial tweet – which had gone viral on Twitter – and sent them an invitation to attend a game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as his guests.
Just been sent this tweet and absolutely gutted for you! For your commitment and to make up for the match being called off I’d like to invite you to a home game as my guest when you’re next in London 👍 https://t.co/wB3c8c40HN

Ken didn’t hesitate to take him up on his offer.
Cheers Harry and not necessary at all, but we would enjoy taking you up on the offer. Thank you and to all Spurs (and other football fans) who have reached out. Amazing really. #TTID amd as always #COYS
