The Bavarians have come back for Kane after seeing their opening bid rejected.

Bayern Munich have reportedly made a second offer to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.

The Bundesliga giants have been monitoring the market for a reliable No.9 since Robert Lewandowski left the club last summer.

Kane has emerged as Bayern’s priority target this summer, with the Bavarians submitting a €70m offer last week. Spurs rejected the initial offer, but that wasn’t enough to end Bayern’s pursuit of the England captain.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern have come back with an €80m offer plus add-ons for Kane. Fabrizio Romano has speculated that Tottenham have the same “feeling” toward the new bid.

Tottenham officials have repeatedly stated that they do not intend to sell Kane ahead of the next season. According to the Times, only an offer of around €116m (£100m) could convince the Spurs to part ways with their all-time top-scorer.

Kane has only a year left on his current Tottenham deal, with no signs of a contract extension being imminent. The prospect of signing the experienced striker as a free agent next summer could convince Bayern to look for a short-term alternative.

However, Bayern will most likely face fierce competition from Manchester United and other Premier League clubs, who could offer Kane almost a certain chance to break Alan Shearer’s goal historic goal record.
