Today we celebrate the 22nd birthday of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold by taking a brief look back on the player’s career story.
It’s hard to think of a more talented young full-back on the planet right now than Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold.
The birthday boy has already achieved what many of his peers can only dream in becoming a Premier League and Champions League winner. He’s also the youngest-ever player to start in back-to-back European Cup finals. Not bad, right?
Alexander-Arnold has made the right-back position in Jurgen Klopp’s line-up his own in recent seasons. The youngster has already made 138 appearances in all competitions, managing eight goals and 38 assists, since graduating from the Reds youth academy.
The England international, who was also nominated for the 2019 Ballon d’Or, has even bagged 31 assists in the last two seasons alone. It’s an incredible achievement for him. Especially as it’s a rare feat for any defender.
Trent truly has excelled on the biggest stage and has already proven himself as an elite performer through his dangerous runs, intelligence, set-piece abilities, and those lethal crosses.
