Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud turns 34 today and we take a brief look on his career path as we celebrate with him.
Olivier Giroud truly needs no introduction in world football.
The French striker burst onto the global scene when he helped Montpellier to the Ligue 1 title in 2012. He scored 21 goals at the time and won the golden boot for that season.
His heroics for Montpellier earned him a move to Arsenal the following summer and he became a fan-favourite during his spell with the club.
Giroud scored 105 times for the Gunners before completing a move to Chelsea in 2018.
However, the Frenchman has not been all that prolific at Chelsea. Regardless, he’s proven to be a good squad player and has so far scored 29 times in 91 appearances for the Blues.
Giroud might not be the quickest player around but he does have an eye for a good goal.
Over the years, he’s scored some spectacular goals with his technical ability.
The most famous goal for Giroud is his Puskas award winner when he scored a ‘scorpion kick’ against Crystal Palace in 2017.
