Today we celebrate the 23rd birthday of Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford by taking a brief look back on the player’s career story.
February 2016 saw Rashford score a stunning Europa League brace against Midtjylland in his first-team debut for Manchester United. He hasn’t looked back from that point on, establishing himself a reputation as one of English football’s most exciting young talents.
The 23-year-old has impressed fans with his dynamic style of play and consistency over the years. Add his new-found scoring prowess under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it’s clear United have one hell of a talent in their ranks.
In fact, Rashford has already made 223 appearances for the Red Devils with 74 goals and 41 assists to his name. He’s also tasted FA Cup, EFL Cup, and Europa League success in his young career. Therefore, it’s no surprise to see him as a fully fledged member of the English national team as well.
But if there’s one thing that makes Rashford stand out amongst his peers, it’s his charitable activities outside the pitch.
The Englishman has made headlines over the past year for his campaigns on issues regarding child food poverty and homelessness in the United Kingdom, leading to recognition as a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
Everyone here on Ace Football wishes Marcus a happy 23rd birthday and all the best for the upcoming year.
