Today we celebrate the 18th birthday of FC Barcelona star Ansu Fati by taking a brief look back on the player’s career story.
Anssumane Fati Vieira, aka Ansu Fati, has made huge strides since making his first-team debut for Barcelona in 2019 and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in European football.
The teenager is both Barcelona’s and the Champions League’s youngest goalscorer in history, with a tally of 13 goals in 40 appearances already. His performances this season, in particular, have been exceptional. In fact, he has chipped in five goals and three assists in seven appearances in all competitions.
Fati has come a long way from the 10-old boy who used to play football wearing only socks or plastic sandals to the young man he has become today.

He caught the eye of the Blaugrana while starring in the Sevilla youth academy and joined La Masia in 2012, helping the club’s youth teams win championships by establishing a bit of a reputation as a goalscoring hero.
After becoming Barca’s youngest debutant in 2019, Fati has become a beacon of hope for the supporters, in a future where Lionel Messi is no more, with his impressive stats and performances at Camp Nou.
To think the forward is only 18 and yet he is already an indispensable member of the first-team. Makes you wonder where he’ll be in 10 years time, doesn’t it?
In the meantime, however, everyone here on Ace Football wishes Ansu a happy 18th birthday and all the best for the upcoming year.
Here are some of the best tributes on Twitter so far today.
