The Norwegian made more Champions League history after ending his goal duck in the competition.

Erling Haaland has surpassed Kylian Mbappe as the youngest player ever to score 37 goals in the Champions League.

On Wednesday, Haaland scored two goals in Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Young Boys. His brace ended a five-match, 543-minute goal drought in the Champions League and entered him into the record books.

He became the competition’s youngest player in history to score 37 goals, aged 23 years and 96 days old.

Haaland accomplished this record in just 33 games, scoring 14 goals for City, 15 goals for Borussia Dortmund, and 8 goals for Red Bull Salzburg.

Before Wednesday, Mbappe was the previous record-holder. The Paris Saint-Germain star reached 37 goals at the age of 23 years and 295 days.

Haaland, who was the Champions League’s top-scorer last season, is set to play again on Sunday away to Manchester United in the Premier League.
