A La Masia academy graduate who is now on BVB’s books suggests the in-demand Norwegian has not shown any curiosity about life at Camp Nou.

One of the two hottest properties in world football right now, Erling Haaland has been linked to almost every major European side as his future remains an intensely speculated subject.

The Borussia Dortmund sensation has a €75 million release clause on his contract but it won’t come into play before 2022 – and those seriously interested in him are unlikely to wait until then to seal his signature.

It has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that FC Barcelona have already held talks with Haaland’s agent over a potential summer transfer.

Barcelona, who are in need of firepower after selling Luis Suarez while they also seek a successor to Lionel Messi up front, have reportedly identified him as their priority target.

Quizzed whether Haaland has asked him questions about Barcelona, Mateu Morey told Mundo Deportivo: “Never.

“But neither for Barca nor for Madrid. We are friends. We talk about life. We comment on Bundesliga or Champions [League] matches but nothing else.

“If he leaves it is a personal decision that he has to make with his people. I just hope you can stay a lot longer with us.”
