The young Norwegian marksman has been unable to participate in the last six games due to a knock he picked up earlier this month.
Erling Haaland is back in training for Borussia Dortmund and can be expected to return to action in January.
The striker was on red-hot form in his second season in Germany – scoring a remarkable 17 goals in 14 games – until he suffered a torn muscle fiber in his thigh in training ahead of the Champions League clash against Lazio earlier this month.
He has remained on the sidelines since, missing BVB’s Bundesliga games against Eintracht Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, and Union Berlin.
Dortmund are heading towards a period that could shape the title race as they prepare for key fixtures against Wolfsburg, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, and Borussia Monchengladbach in January – and their Golden Boy could return just in time.
“I saw him for the first time today,” BVB head coach Edin Terzic said of Haaland ahead of the DFB Pokal clash against Eintracht Braunschweig on Tuesday, via Goal. “We are happy and things are looking up for him.
“He is completely on schedule in terms of timing and we assume he will be immediately back at the beginning of January.”
