The Frenchman has one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates but is expected to move away this summer.
Matteo Guendouzi adds fuel to the rumors of his potential Arsenal exit by revealing “clubs from different leagues” are interested in him.
Guendouzi spent the second half of 2020-21 on loan at Hertha Berlin. The loan spell was a hit-and-miss as while he did show signs of his brilliance, he struggled with fitness issues and due to competition for places in the team.
The Gunners now reportedly want to cut their losses on the midfielder whom they bought for a fee in the range of €8 million from French outfit FC Lorient.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been linked with a return to Ligue 1, with Marseille said to be on the verge of securing his signature.
“I’m under contract with Arsenal and we have mutual obligations,” Guendouzi responded when asked about his future plans in an interview with Bild.
“There is interest from clubs from different leagues. Right now I’m one hundred percent focused on my recovery. In due time, I will decide with my advisors and my father which direction we are headed.”
