Barcelona are interested in a move for Raheem Sterling while he continues to struggle for game time at Manchester City.
Manchester City’s midfield is so crowded that one of their best midfielders is unhappy with his insufficient game time.
Raheem Sterling shows no signs of being out of form, but the £100-million arrival of Jack Grealish has directly affected his position in the Man City lineup.
Several Spanish sources have reported on Barcelona’s interest in signing Sterling. Despite dealing with financial issues, the Catalans are keen to add a new midfielder to their squad in the winter.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reacted to the transfer rumours around Sterling’s potential move.
“We have too much work to do but if Barcelona is interested in any of our players, I’m convinced that they can get them,” Guardiola told Mundo Deportivo.
“The city, the club, the history and this for the coaches, for the players always seduces a lot. If Barcelona is interested in one of our players, they will start the machinery, it is an ocean liner. Barcelona, in good and bad, can do what they want.”
