The Belgium international last made an appearance on January 20, with a hamstring issue keeping him away from action since then.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has provided an optimistic update on Kevin De Bruyne’s injury recovery.
Man City have been without De Bruyne in their last five matches, though they have managed a victory in each of them.
The 29-year-old last featured in the 2-0 home win over Aston Villa on January 20, having been forced off the pitch after about an hour of action due to a hamstring issue.
The Sky Blues, though, have hardly missed their playmaker in chief as they have climbed up to the top of the Premier League table and booked a place in the FA Cup 5th round.
“He is getting well he is already training, not with the team but alone and he is feeling well,” Guardiola informed about the player’s recovery, via the official club website. “It’s good, really good.”
Pressed on De Bruyne’s return to action and whether he’d be fit to play in the Champions League last-16 first-leg tie against Borussia Monchengladbach on February 24, Guardiola added: “I cannot say.
“What’s important is day by day he is feeling very good.”
