After Man City’s draw against West Ham United, Pep Guardiola confirmed one of his most important stars is injured once again.

This Man City star was just out of a major injury recovery. Pep Guardiola just confirmed that Sergio Aguero finished the game with an apparent hamstring issue that might keep him out of the game for a while. This is a common problem amongst footballers who have been out of competition for a long time.

It takes them a while to fully return to fitness and endurance is a major issue for them. Hamstring issues are the norm when a player went under the knife and needed to recover for months. The lack of activity is detrimental to their complete return to the full extent of their powers.

‘Kun’ returned a couple of weeks ago with no major issues, but West Ham United presented itself as the game where he couldn’t hold for much longer. After the game, Pep Guardiola didn’t want to talk much about the issue as he seemed disappointed with this new setback.

Pep doesn’t know the extent of the injury.

Fully knowing that he probably lost Aguero for the next couple of games, Guardiola also analyzed the team’s performance against West Ham United.

“It’s a muscular injury, a hamstring, I think,” said Pep on Sky Sports. “Tomorrow we will know more.”

“We started really well, then after we conceded with the first action they had, we struggled in the last five or 10 minutes of the first half,” said the Spaniard.

“In the second half we were better, we scored and had the chances at the end but we could not convert them, so we drew.

“I would prefer to have results but we have to analyse where we are. Many injuries, a lack of preparation, no recovery time, and tough games we’ve played so far.

“But the players gave everything on the pitch. Now we recover and think about the next game.”
