Mason Greenwood was excluded by Manchester United from all the activities after his alleged arrest for foul reasons.

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has been set free on bail after he was arrested for alleged suspicion of rape, assault, and threats to kill.

However, the Red Devils have restricted the youngster from playing until further notice. On Wednesday though, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that Greenwood had been released from imprisonment.

But, while he is out, the investigation will still be conducted. GMP wrote in a statement: “A 20-year-old man arrested on Sunday 30 January 2022. On suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman has been released on bail pending further investigation.”

As expected, United sent a word that the striker will not be part of the proceedings at the club until further instructed so.

On Sunday, a statement from Man Utd clarified: “Mason Greenwood will not return to training. Or play matches until further notice.”

GMP previously arrested the star on Sunday and was granted an additional period for investigation and enquiries. Although the allotted time has ended on Wednesday the investigation will still go on.
