Greenwood on Van de Beek: 'He looks like a good player'

Donny van de Beek has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and Mason Greenwood has given him his blessings for the transfer.

It has been a great week for Manchester United. Mason Greenwood got his maiden call up to the England team. In addition, the Red Devils are close to adding Donny van de Beek to their ranks.

Greenwood was pleased with his Three Lions call and wants to be become a permanent fixture. He also believes the Dutchman’s addition at the Old Trafford will be positive for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

“That’s for the club to sort out,” Goal quoted Greenwood on the transfer, “but I have seen some of his stuff and he looks like a good, promising player, so that’s good.”

Rafael van der Vaart also echoes Greenwood’s sttement. The Dutchman spent two seasons in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspurs. Van der Vart shared that his compatriot is a proven quantity and will easily fit at the club.

“Donny deserves this transfer so much,” Van der Vaart told NOS. “He has played excellent for Ajax.

“And Manchester United really need this kind of player in their team. This transfer is fantastic for us [Dutch people] too. We are all going to follow him now. This move is so deserved.”
