The Catalans managed to escape a defeat as Sergi Roberto scored a late equalizer.

Barcelona drew 2-2 with Barcelona in their La Liga game on Sunday. Barca dropped points again as they slipped three points behind Real Madrid before the international break.

What happened?

Granada stunned their opponents with an instant opener when Bryan Zaragoza found the back of the net only 17 seconds into the game.

The Granada winger completed his brace and doubled Granada’s lead just before the half-hour mark. But Barcelona managed to get back into the game in the 45th minute.

Lamine Yamal was lucky to find Joao Felix’s deflected pass right in front of the goal. The teenager then nodded the ball home to make it 2-1 before the break.

Barcelona gradually increased the pressure on Granada’s backline as the second half went on. But a number of incredible saves from Andre Ferreira prevented them from scoring the equalizer before the 85th minute.

Finally, Sergi Roberto made it 2-2 by converting Alejandro Balde’s pass across the face of the goal with a precise finish. Barca thought they had completed their comeback when Felix scored four minutes into the extra time, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
