Jude Bellingham is the new Golden Boy after a wonderful start at Real Madrid.

Golden Boy Awards has announced its winners for this year, with Jude Bellingham claiming the main title.

Prior to Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid, Jamal Musiala was the favourite to claim the Golden Boy award. However, the England international’s incredible start at Santiago Bernabeu convinced the voters to choose him ahead of the Bayern Munich starlet. Bellingham becomes the third English player after Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling to claim the award.

Bellingham, who has scored 13 goals in 14 matches across all competitions so far this season, also won the Kepa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony on October 30. The former Borussia Dortmund player also finished 18th in the final rankings for men’s Ballon d’Or.

Another Real Madrid star, Linda Caicedo, won the Golden Girl award for his fantastic performances in Liga F. The 18-year-old has registered five goal contributions in his eight matches for Real Madrid this season.

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal won the “Youngest” award as he became the youngest-ever player to finish in the Golden Boy Awards’ top three. The 16-year-old has secured a regular spot in Xavi Hernandez’s lineup at Barca, making 13 La Liga appearances so far this season.
