Even though he is not done at Liverpool just yet, someone thinks Jurgen Klopp’s next destination is the Germany National Team.

The Germany National Team has to be amongst the top places for Jurgen Klopp to continue his managerial career. Any professional coach dreams of having a prolific club spell with either one of most squads, and then moving to a national team.

Coaching a country is believed to be ideal for the twilight years of a manager’s career. In Jurgen Klopp’s case, he might still be a long way from leaving Liverpool and he has to look at his options. The German Football Federations currently has Joachim Low in charge of the new generation of players.

Even though he’s made some important progress over the years, it’s safe to say not everybody is happy with him still on board. There are some who think his time with the German squad is over and new blood has to come forward. This is where Jurgen Klopp’s name keeps popping up.

Is Germany in Jurgen Klopp’s future?

Legendary Lothar Matthaus is amongst the people who believe Jurgen Klopp is the idea man to take Joachim Low’s position in the future. He has deep knowledge about the German market of players and everybody has massive respect for the world he’s done over the last decade.

In many ways, time has given Klopp the experience to fit into this role that is only reserved for a handful of people at the same time. Despite having other candidates in mind, the Germans believe Klopp is the one next in line to take the job when the time is right.

In a column for Sky Sports Germany, Lothar Matthaus wrote: “When you talk about possible candidates, there is only one person that everyone would want in the future, and that is Jurgen Klopp. He is extremely successful, personable and equally popular with fans and the media. He’s far from finished in Liverpool and he’ll have time for the national team in a few years.”
