Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso believes the Premier League is not handling the COVID-19 crisis in the best possible way.

Gennaro Gattuso has hit out at the Premier League’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak.

The English top-flight league has already postponed a few games, Aston Villa vs Everton being the most recent one.

They are also rescheduling games giving the teams only two days to prepare. Something Fulham coach Scott Parker was not happy with when the new date for their trip to Spurs was set earlier this week.

Gattuso believes “the best-organized league in the world” should not deal with this situation in a messy way as they are at the moment.

“We have to look towards the English Premier League, which I think is the best-organized league in the world,” he said via Daily Mail.

“However, they constantly criticize us, and yet they are having far worse problems than we are, so for once Italy are ahead of the curve.

“It’s not easy getting these swabs every other day, always waiting for the results with anxiety.”

The legendary AC Milan midfielder also spoke about his disease and finally gave us some good news.

“I feel much better now thanks to the cortisone. I heard a lot of things over the last few months, some saying I wouldn’t be able to coach anymore.

“I’ve been dealing with this for 10 years, there are far worse things, trust me. I am fine, it was just a relapse.”
