After a long time of recovery, we finally get to have a look at Manchester City’s biggest star back on the training pitch ahead of his comeback.

Manchester City’s biggest star is back from a nasty injury he suffered a while ago. Sergio Aguero can finally step on the football pitch and begin his return to fitness with a knee injury completely behind him. ‘Kun’ missed several months of competition since June 22, when he suffered a knee injury in Manchester City’s 5-0 win against Burnley.

Initially, nobody believed he would be out for more than two months. However, a September update revealed that the player was going to miss out on more than four months of competition. During that time, Aguero became a Youtube streamer who played videogames in front of millions of people. But he always remained focused on his recovery.

Today marks the day of his return to the football pitch. We could see Manchester City post some images of the striker back on the training pitch with a smile on his face.

Guardiola needs Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine’s return to fitness comes at a perfect time in which Pep Guardiola truly needs his biggest star. It’s the same week in which Ilkay Gundogan also returned to practice after suffering COVID-19. The manager expects ‘Kun’ to be available for the upcoming match against Arsenal over the weekend.

However, it might be too soon for his return due to how long he was absent from all competitions. Another possible timeframe for Aguero’s return could be against Porto in the Champions League, or West Ham United in next week’s Premier League fixture. Before falling injured last season, the striker had already scored 23 goals in all competitions.

This is a goal-tally that a club like Manchester City simply can’t miss, they desperately need a player like ‘Kun’. You can tell how relieved Guardiola is of Aguero’s return simply by looking at his face.
