The Blues suffered another Premier League defeat as pressure mounts on Graham Potter.

Fulham defeated Chelsea 2-1 in their Premier League game on Thursday. Another poor display from the Blues saw Fulham claim a crucial home win.

Chelsea free fall continues!

The Blues started out by pushing for an early opener but failed to convert their chances. As their attacks fizzled out, Fulham refused to stay in their own half and marched forward to break the deadlock.

The Cottagers did so in the 25th minute through a clinical finish from Willian. The former Chelsea star changed the course of the game with his opener, forcing Chelsea to play more openly.

The Blues found a host of serious goalscoring chances toward the end of the first period. But they had to wait until the 47th minute to score the equalizer.

Mason Mount’s free-kick hit the near post, with Kalidou Koulibaly converting the rebound from close range. The goal motivated Chelsea to increase the pace of the game and clinch the match-winner.

But then came a reckless challenge by Joao Felix, which convinced the referee to send him off in his Premier League debut.

Fulham gradually outpaced Chelsea in midfield after Felix’s red card. The Cottagers then restored their lead when Carlos Vinicius converted a searching cross from Andreas Pereira in the 73rd minute.

Potter made four changes after Fulham’s second goal but failed to turn the game around at Craven Cottage. His side now face the danger of slipping to the bottom half of the Premier League table.
