Fulham returned to winning ways after three consecutive defeats to beat the Gunners.
Fulham defeated Arsenal 2-1 in their Premier League game on Sunday. The Gunners continued their three-game winless run with a frustrating defeat against Fulham.
What happened?
Arsenal’s fantastic start to the game paid off when Bukayo Saka put them ahead at Craven Cottage in the fifth minute. Bernd Leno stopped Gabriel Martinelli’s low shot with a brilliant save, only for Saka to immediately convert the rebound.
Fulham grew into the game as the first half went on, creating several chances to score the equalizer. The hosts finally made it 1-1 when Raul Jimenez smashed Tom Cairney’s perfect low cross into the back of the net in the 29th minute.
Mikel Arteta made a few changes to his lineup as Arsenal pushed to take control of the game after the break. However, it was Fulham who completed their comeback through Bobby De Cordova-Reid just before the hour-mark.
The goal forced Arsenal to put more bodies forward, but Fulham’s brilliant defence barely allowed them to create any serious chances. The hosts even had two chances to score themselves, but the woodwork and a wonderful save from David Raya prevented them from doubling their lead.

Raul Jimenez made an excellent display for Fulham as they defeated Arsenal at Craven Cottage. In addition to scoring his side’s equalizer, Jimenez put Arsenal’s backline at bay with his devastating runs throughout the second period.
