Fulham took on Manchester United at the Craven Cottage this Wednesday night. We have the player ratings.

The Red Devils entered the pitch after their league rivals and needed to secure the win to claim the top place in the Premier League once again. However, Manchester United didn’t have the best start to the game.

Just five minutes into the fixture, Fulham got the lead as Anguissa delivered a stunning pass toward Lookman. The Leipzig loanee took advantage of Wan-Bissaka’s failure to keep up with the defensive line and smoothly put one past De Gea.

Nevertheless, the Red Devils showed their resilience as they repeatedly attempted to break through Fulham’s organized defense. In fact, United fans only had to wait another 16 minutes to watch Cavani secure the tie. Bruno Fernandes ran down the left-wing and delivered a dangerous cross that was cleared by Areola. However, Cavani received the scraps and quickly put the ball in the back of the net.

It was a well-disputed second half but it looked like it was just a matter of time till United found their way to Areola’s goal again. In fact, that was exactly what happened. Paul Pogba showed his under-performing days are long gone. The midfielder scored a screamer that sent the Red Devils right to the top of the Premier League.
